Chris started playing and writing music in college at James Madison University. He honed his songwriting skills by spending countless hours locked in his bathroom with a guitar, simultaneously navigating the growing pains of early adulthood. This resulted in his first EP of original songs, Springfield, shortly followed by his first full length album, The Seeker.

Claire grew up in Illinois, where she spent an inordinate amount of time singing and writing poetry. Claire moved to LA and, after a chance meeting with Chris in 2015, realized that the poems she had been writing her whole life were actually songs. They've been writing music together ever since.
